Go Be Wonderful! written by Donna Gephart
From the moment Daisy was born she was encouraged to “go be
wonderful”. Through all the early stages of growing up, from Peek-a-boo, to
learning how to use the potty, playing with her dog, and more she was encouraged
by family and neighbors to “go be wonderful”, and she was.
Now Daisy is five and heading into kindergarten. For the
first time, she is worried that she may not be wonderful. What if no one likes
her or what if she gets lost. But as the day begins, not everything goes
perfect. She almost doesn’t make the potty. But when Daisy runs out of her
classroom at the end of the school day, she announces that she was wonderful.
The colorful illustrations show the real story of some
slight mishaps of growing up that are normal and still okay. This book is a
great confidence builder for kids who may be apprehensive about starting school
or just in need of some smiles.
