August is a great month to take a
breath and review your library programming since January. What worked? What didn’t work as well as
you would have liked? What would you do differently? Ask patrons what programs or
events they enjoyed most, young and old. What would they like to see in your
library? Planning is key to any successful program.
August is
also a great time to plan and create new programs, reading initiatives, new
patron sign ups, and books to support your local schools.
So,
let’s begin Fall planning. Let’s face it, we have the holiday marathon coming
