Magical Pet Vet Series

In the series Magical Pet Vet, three kids work together to open a veterinarian’s office for mythical creatures. Each title features a famous cryptid needing help from the vets. Along the way we learn some history of each cryptid, where they come from (maybe), and what’s ailing them. Sometimes it’s as simple as missing their favorite object, like a plastic flamingo and understanding the cryptid is grieving. Or sometimes it is more complicated, like making a birthday wish that causes the yeti to cough up confetti uncontrollably.

Each title contains nonfiction STEM and SEL information that shares social emotional support and gives hints on how to care for your real pets and people. Each book contains a glossary of words, with pronunciation to help young readers pronounce and understand the meaning.

This graphic novel format series features diverse characters who always work together to find a solution to the problem with kindness and empathy. This series is a great addition to any library where kids love unicorns, bigfoot, magical creatures, and anyone thinking one day they would like to be a vet.
