Shark and Bot Graphic Novel Series

Can a Shark and Robot really be friends? What could these two possibly have in common. Follow along as Shark and Bot navigate their way through their friendship.

In the first book, Shark and Bot, you learn that Shark doesn’t really have any friends, just his stuffed wombat to keep him company. Bot also seems to be lacking friends. The two bond quickly over their love of a graphic novel series, Glo-Nuts, featuring donuts that turned into superheroes due to a strange laboratory explosion.

Together, Shark and Bot figure out their friendship even with their differences, such as, Shark who lives in the water and Bot who cannot get wet at all. During all of this, they get kicked off the playground by a group of bullies.

Shark begins to wonder why he, a great white shark, top of the food chain, is worried about bullies. Bot who is not at the top of food chain, is worried. Together they decide to emulate their superheroes, the Glo-Nuts, and challenge the bullies at the playground to a dance off.

Shark and Bot work on a great dance routine that soon has everyone moving to the same beat. New friendships are made, and all is well at the playground.

Sleepaway Champs features our two best friends out of school and off to summer camp. Although Shark would have rather stayed home writing poetry and Bot would have rather gone to space camp, the pair end up at Camp Sweet Sunshine.

Shark quickly becomes homesick but remembers that he has his best friend by his side to get him through camp. Plus, they each received care packages from home including the next book in the Glo-Nuts series. At camp, Shark and Bot must participate in swimming lessons (Bot within a giant hamster ball), craft class, and a talent show. Of course, the two come up with an awesome act for the talent show. The two survive camp, have lots of unexpected fun, and readers will too.

This graphic novel series is fun and teaches children that new friendships and new adventures can be wonderful if you give them a try.
