Cassie and Charm

by Kelly McKain, illustrated by Mandy Stanley

This series will be an absolute dream for pony-mad kids. Each book is written as the camp diary of one girl at Sunnyside Stables, where they spend a week swimming, playing games, and, best of all, are paired with their own pony for the that they are responsible for grooming, feeding, and riding.

In Cassie and Charm, Cassie arrives at Sunnyside feeling sad because her parents have just sold her pony Apple, which she had outgrown. Although she is happy to be at pony camp, she feels like caring about her assigned pony, Charm, is a betrayal of Apple.  Cassie’s riding skills, so effortless on Apple, aren’t working on Charm, and she feels as if Charm just doesn’t like her. It takes looking at it in a different way for Cassie to realize that she’s being unfair to Charm and to herself, and this change of heart makes a big difference in her last few days at pony camp.

Each of the books in the series features a different camper and her pony and all will be favorites of any horse or pony lover. As with all Penworthy Prebound Books, they are guaranteed to circulate and endure! Click here to add Cassie and Charm to your collection, or click here to see all four of the books in our catalog
